The Organizers

The Oh America and Oh Canada group was first established in 1995 and has quickly grown to be the largest student recruiting center in Taiwan. The center has three offices in Taiwan (Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung) and a post-landing and recruiting service center in Vancouver, Canada. In 2006, the centers will send 2500 students overseas to pursue their studies.

The Oh America and Oh Canada Centers have over 40 trained professional staff members offering schools and students a full range of services. We offer students professional counseling to assist them with their future study plans and school selection. Once schools are selected we assist with school, housing and visa applications. We are also the student ticketing centers for Air Canada, Northwest Airlines, and Delta Airlines. We are able to assist students purchase very inexpensive airplane tickets to their study abroad destinations. Further assistance is available to provide airport pickup arrangements, pre-departure training classes, purchasing insurance and traveler¡¦s checks, as well as comprehensive post-landing services. Services to schools include: student recruitment, marketing assistance, student case processing, student-school communication and problem solving throughout the student's term of study.

Oh America and Oh Canada also organize large-scale promotions to promote studying in the USA and Canada to Taiwan students. We organize Taiwan¡¦s largest overseas education fair, the American and Canadian Education Expos, twice a year in the fall and the spring. In order to build a network with local English teachers, we also host a TESL Teacher Training Conference in conjunction with the CEE and AEE to bring overseas school representatives and Taiwanese English teachers together. The Oh Canada and Oh America Centers also publish ten to fifteen catalogues and education guides annually and maintain extensive web pages to promote Canadian and American study abroad opportunities.

Oh Canada established a Vancouver branch office in1996 to assist Taiwan students with settlement services after they have arrived in Canada and to recruit students in the greater Vancouver area. This center now services all of our students studying in Canada and the United States. In 2004 this office hosted the first Vancouver Education Expo in downtown Vancouver. Over 60, mostly post-secondary, institutions participated in this event, and plans are currently underway to host an event in Vancouver in November 2007.

If you are looking to break into the Taiwan or Vancouver market or if you would like to develop your current position in these markets, the professional staff at the Oh America and Oh Canada Education Consulting Centers would be pleased to assist you!
